She’s known around Brantford as the Elvis Lady; the little gal with the big voice and the indomitable spirit of goodwill.

Originally hitting the spotlight as a dancer and then as an Elvis Impersonator; Joan has evolved into the effervescent champion of the performing arts and one of the most popular entertainers in the City.

Joan entertains several times per month in her solo showcases but she soars highest when performing with long-time singing partners Alicia Skoretz, Taya Humpartzoomian and Kyra Humpartzoomian.  She can also be seen performing at a variety of community events with her Line Dance Troupe --- the WAISTLINERS.

Joan has now added a live band to her showcases featuring her son Bill on lead guitar and Brad Bridges on drums.  SIVLE is a myriad of Classic Rock, Vintage Pop & Rockabilly.

Joan directs and performs in 3 musicals per year with the Brantford Cabaret --- her musical theatre workshop of small children and adults.   She also appears frequently on facebook live strumming her guitar and belting out classic oldies and pop hits.

With more than 30 years of stage experience behind her and an impressive long musical resume --  including acting, singing and dancing; Brantford’s very own Rock and Roll Diva owns the centre spotlight.   Whether she’s belting out rock and roll or crooning ballads -- Joan’s powerful pipes, matched with her comical antics on stage and an affinity to work a room like nobody’s business;
has allowed Joan the honour of entertaining more than 500,000 people in Canada and the U.S.

She has the ability to sing anything: Rock, Disco, Country, Pop, Broadway, Standards, Blues, Jazz…nothing stops her.

Joan LIVES to perform, She LOVES to Rock…and it shows!!!    On occasion Joan also takes on her award-winning and

vocally-haunting salute to Janis Joplin. “Me and Bobby McGee” and “Piece of My Heat” are amazing.

While her main love is definitely Rock ‘n’ Roll -- the softer ballads ooze out of Joan with tenderness.   She has a repertoire of more than 1000 songs. Joan sings a variety of songs made famous by many male rock legends and female icons but has a definite affinity for the old country classics.

Joan dedicates ALL of her performances to the memory of her eldest brother John, the WIND beneath her wings.

 In Joan’s Words --- “I’m having more fun than one person should be allowed to have."
